NOTICE: Notice of Intent to Consider Adoption of Updated Westside-San Joaquin Integrated Water Resources Plan

The San Luis & Delta-Mendota Water Authority (Authority) is the Regional Water Management Group administrator for the Westside-San Joaquin Integrated Regional Water Management Plan (Plan). The Westside Region (Region) is located along the Westside of the San Joaquin Valley, bordered roughly by the City of Tracy in the north, Kettleman City in the south, the San Joaquin River on the east, and the Coast Range on the west. The Westside Region spans portions of Contra Costa, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Fresno, and Kings Counties.

The Authority is currently in the process of updating the 2006 Plan. The Update Plan addresses current day conditions, governance, characterization and description of regional water resources, water resource strategies and projects, and provides a living, planning document that can help guide water resources planning in the Region. A draft of the Updated Plan is available on the Authority’s web site: https://sldmwa.org/integrated-regional-water-management-plan/

On September 8th, the Authority’s Board of Directors will hold a special meeting to consider adopting the Updated Plan. Information pertaining to the specific meeting time will be posted on the Authority’s web site prior to September 5, 2014. Interested parties are encouraged to attend the meeting and comment on this matter. For any questions, please call (209) 826-9696.
