The San Luis & Delta-Mendota Water Authority joins Senator Feinstein and the Family Farm Alliance in requesting an extension of the comment period for the proposed listing of the yellow-billed cuckoo.
We appreciate the Senator’s recognition of the adverse impacts this listing could have on water storage in California and share the concerns of the Family Farm Alliance about the implications to agriculture throughout the West, including impacts on rural communities from new regulatory pressure on resources dedicated to farm and ranch operations.
